26th October Harbour race

Helm for Edna May needed for the harbour race on the 26th. If you are able to cover this duty please volunteer in Dutyman or contact Please offer your support to enable this race to go ahead.

Boat Thefts

Between 1st October at 12.00 hours and 13th October at 7.26am there have been a number of thefts of boats and marine equipment from Mudeford. A number of these items were then recovered last night at an address also in Mudeford. If you have any information please contact Dorset Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 quoting crime numbers 42715, 42657, 42283 or 42060

Dinner Dance 15th November - Lord Bute

Menu on social page and facebook. Menu order sheets and seating plan in club foyer. Numbers are limited this year so it will be first come first served with members having priority. Payment and Menu choices by 1 November latest.

Highcliffe Sailing Club is located at the prime coastal location of Mudeford Quay allowing the club to offer sailing in the sheltered waters of Christchurch harbour and open water sailing in Christchurch Bay.

This makes it an ideal club for sailors of all abilities and aspirations. The club has a friendly and informal atmosphere.

It is predominantly a family club with members of all ages and from a wide variety of backgrounds. All members are expected to help with the running of the club, It's a good way to meet people and it's fun to be involved.

Notice of AGM 21st Nov 8pm

Notice of the 54th Annual General Meeting of the Highcliffe Sailing Club to be held at the Clubhouse Mudeford Quay on Friday 21st November 2014 at 20:00 hours
Please note that as laid down in the Club Constitution notice of the A.G.M. is required to be posted to members 28 days before the meeting and this notice complies with that rule.
You are reminded that any motion to be put to the A.G.M. must be received by the Hon Secretary by Friday 31st October 2014, motions must be in writing and duly proposed and seconded. New nominees must have signified their willingness to stand for election. As nominations are received by the Hon Secretary they will be displayed in the clubhouse. Last day for nominations is Friday 31st October 2014.
Only members who have paid their 2014 subscriptions are allowed to attend the AGM

Galley Lead

After many years of over seeing the galley, Helen Langdown has decided to step down as galley co- ordinator at the next AGM on 21 November 2014 and we would like to thank her for all her hard work. Although this is not a committee post, we are looking for a volunteer to take on this roll which involves making sure that the galley opens to provide meals for our hungry sailors. For more info please contact either Helen Langdown or Sue Walker for a chat.

Quiz Night Friday 17th October

Have you got your team ready? Hope you've picked wisely to avoid the wooden spoon! The theme this week is 'What goes bump in the night'. Bar from 7pm and Quiz starts at 7.30pm.
