26th October Harbour race

Helm for Edna May needed for the harbour race on the 26th. If you are able to cover this duty please volunteer in Dutyman or contact stuart@highcliffesailing.co.uk. Please offer your support to enable this race to go ahead.


Boat Thefts

Between 1st October at 12.00 hours and 13th October at 7.26am there have been a number of thefts of boats and marine equipment from Mudeford. A number of these items were then recovered last night at an address also in Mudeford. If you have any information please contact Dorset Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 quoting crime numbers 42715, 42657, 42283 or 42060


Dinner Dance 15th November - Lord Bute

Menu on social page and facebook. Menu order sheets and seating plan in club foyer. Numbers are limited this year so it will be first come first served with members having priority. Payment and Menu choices by 1 November latest.

Sea Fleet

The sea is fleet mainly made up of Monohulls of all classes but the club Catamarans have been known to join in. Racing is held on a Sunday morning, Easter until October and Thursday evenings when the light allows (this seems to be most of the year)Both Sunday and Thursday racing is usually two handicap races back to back, one on a Thursday during spring and autumn when the light fades early.

Christchurch bay with its prevailing westerlies, is the club's best asset for good sailing in open water

Gundimore beach launching

By agreement with Christchurch council we have the facility of launching from the beach at Gundimore. This can really help if tides or confidence make tackling the run inappropriate and allows us to accommodate large numbers for events
This facility is available to all club members. We do however need to consider other users and the terms of our licence agreement with the council:
