Laser 2000 (Yellow) currently occupying DP Space I29. The club does not hold any membership details for the owner of this boat, the club believes it is abandoned. It is the intention of the club to move this craft to the quarantine area and start the disposal process.Could the owner or anybody that knows who the owner may be make contact with the dinghy Park Warden as soon as possible.
A sail has been found underneath a beach hut on the Spit.It has a red dragon on the sail and the number 76, has anyone any idea if it belongs to one of our members. If you have any information can you contact Simon Farrow Club Steward who has further contact details.

The sea is fleet mainly made up of Monohulls of all classes but the club Catamarans have been known to join in. Racing is held on a Sunday morning, Easter until October and Thursday evenings when the light allows (this seems to be most of the year)Both Sunday and Thursday racing is usually two handicap races back to back, one on a Thursday during spring and autumn when the light fades early.
Christchurch bay with its prevailing westerlies, is the club's best asset for good sailing in open water
By agreement with Christchurch council we have the facility of launching from the beach at Gundimore. This can really help if tides or confidence make tackling the run inappropriate and allows us to accommodate large numbers for events
